New students services by Polimi Library; Polimi Library Specialist Reference
Starting from January, Polimi libraries offer the new Specialist Reference service: in a dedicated area expert staff is available to help you in your study and research activities.
For example, you may find support in the use of online databases, e-journals, ebook, and in researching maps of the territory. You may also find useful information on the preparation of your graduate thesis and bibliography management.
Service opening timetable: Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm, at Leonardo Campus Library, in front of the loan desk.
After an experimentation period the service will be provided at the Bovisa campus libraries as well.
They offer specialized support and guidance on using the library and its resources.
This service is available for all the users (students, professors, PhD, external users) from January 2018, at the moment only in Leonardo Campus Library.
Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm, within the “box” in front of the circulation desk.
An experienced librarian is available to provide support about
Researching and finding paper books and journals in the online catalogue
Using electronic resources suck as subscribes databases, e-journals, e-book
Researching and consulting the Politecnico graduate theses, both paper and digital
Researching cartographic materials (territorial maps, both paper and digital, current or hisotrical)
Questions regarding your graduate thesis writing and problems with the online thesis submission procedure
Bibliography management e delle citazioni per la tesi di laurea
Using the library and its services (loans, intra-university loans, inter-library loansm Document Delivery …)

After an experimentation period the service will be provided even in the Bovisa campus libraries.
